NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, traditions, cultures and histories.
It is a time for us to participate and celebrate the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
This year’s NAIDOC theme is ‘50 Years of Deadly’ marking the anniversary of NAIDOC Week. The theme celebrates five decades of NAIDOC as a national movement and pays tribute to the Elders, artists, organisers, and communities who have sustained it.
Victoria Police continue to recognise the importance of NAIDOC Week to the Victorian Aboriginal community and remain committed to supporting and celebrating and honouring the rich history, culture, remarkable achievements, and ongoing contributions of the community.
