Three women who serve on the Marion County bench told a state investigator they feared for their safety after witnessing another circuit judge’s intoxicated and obscenity-laced tirade during a judicial conference in central Oregon earlier this year, according to internal records. A deputy marshal for the Oregon Judicial Department documented the allegations against Judge Channing Bennett, who colleagues said raised his voice and repeatedly used vulgar and offensive language during an informal get-together in late April.
