A seemingly normal Thursday at Blank Children's Hospital proved to be anything but when Batman, Thor, Supergirl and the Flash spent time saving young patients from dirty windows and boring hospital beds. The almost decade-long event invites window washers, dressed as superheroes, into the Des Moines hospital to visit with children, give them gifts and play games with them while suspended outside their windows. The event is run by Larry's Window Services, a local maintenance company. All the heroes but Supergirl, who is a nurse at the hospital, work with the company.
