Look up tonight, Boston. The Strawberry Moon will rise just after sunset, marking the first full moon of summer and one of the year’s most beautiful moonrises. This year’s Strawberry Moon is also a micromoon, meaning it’s near its farthest point from Earth and will appear slightly smaller than an average full moon. As it rises low over the horizon, though, it can take on stunning golden and orange hues. For some of the best views, head to Castle Island, Fan Pier Park or Larz Anderson Park, where you’ll have wide-open views of the moon rising over the horizon. By the way, we have a weekly newsletter with the best things happening in Boston. One newsletter. Once a week. Link in bio. Media via Shutterstock #mustdoboston #bostonfullmoon
