Boston’s World Cup Fan Festival officially opened today at City Hall Plaza and it’s already the hottest ticket in town.
The free fan zone will serve as the city’s central gathering place throughout the tournament, featuring live match broadcasts, food vendors, entertainment, and thousands of soccer fans from around the world.
The festival runs from June 12 through June 27 and can accommodate up to 5,000 people at a time…but that’s a bit of a problem.
Demand has already been massive. Nearly 150,000 fans have registered for the event, and the first two days are already sold out.
While registration is required and does not guarantee admission, passes are still available for many of the remaining festival dates.
