The World Cup is almost here and Boston may be entering its study era.
A new data analysis by the Action Network suggests Boston ranks near the bottom among U.S. World Cup host cities when it comes to soccer know-how. While other cities seem to have the sport fully baked into their culture, Boston appears to be approaching things a little differently: with questions.
The funny part is Boston isn’t lacking interest. The city reportedly ranked high in curiosity around the sport, which basically means people are searching, reading, and trying to figure things out before kickoff.
With World Cup matches heading to the region soon, there’s still time for a citywide soccer crash course.
By the way, we have a weekly newsletter rounding up what’s worth doing and knowing about in Boston. One newsletter. Once a week. Link in bio.
