Boston may have just found a way to make airport travel slightly less soul-crushing. Starting June 1, Logan Airport is launching what officials say is America’s first remote TSA terminal, allowing some passengers to complete security screening more than 25 miles away from the airport. The new “Straight to Gate” pilot at Logan Express in Framingham lets eligible Delta and JetBlue travelers check in, drop bags, clear TSA, then board a secure shuttle directly into Logan’s post-security area. Translation: no airport security line once you arrive. The shuttle costs $9 each way, parking is $7 a day, and buses will run hourly during the pilot program. Officials say if demand is strong, the concept could eventually expand to more locations around Greater Boston.
