This is going to be massive. Boston Harbor is set to host the largest fleet of tall ships the city has ever seen this July as part of Sail250, a once-in-a-generation event celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Dozens of ships from around the world, including massive vessels with masts over 200 feet high, will take over the harbor from July 11 to July 16. The event will feature a full Parade of Sails, chances to board and tour the ships, and fireworks to open and close the celebration. It’s expected to be the biggest maritime event ever held in New England, surpassing even the largest major tall ships gathering.
