As new data centers continue to be built across Utah, including the proposed Box Elder data center, KSL traveled to Virginia — the state with the most data centers in the country — to speak with residents living near the facilities. Virginia is home to nearly 750 data centers, with more under construction, according to the Pew Research Center. Residents shared their experiences living near the developments, particularly as new facilities have been built closer to residential neighborhoods.
