Median pay for public school teachers surpassed $120,000 in both Long Island counties in the 2024-25 academic year, according to a Newsday analysis. The median pay was $123,692 in Nassau County and $120,167 in Suffolk County. Teachers' median pay grew by 1.5% in Nassau and 0.9% in Suffolk from the 2023-24 school year.
