A 15-year-old is facing charges after Glendale police say a Fourth of July shooting at Westgate Entertainment District left five people injured. According to investigators, the teen was with family near the fountain around 9 p.m. Saturday when he ran into classmates. Police say an argument turned into a fight before the teen allegedly fired multiple rounds. Five people were injured, including the suspect’s two sisters, one of whom is 8 years old. Police said all of the injuries were non-life-threatening. Court documents say the teen was later found hiding inside the plaza with about $850 in cash. Investigators say he told detectives he bought the firearm at a park one week earlier for $400. The teen is facing charges including aggravated assault, endangerment, and minor in possession of a firearm. Because he is under 18, his identity has not been released.
