Controversial parenting hot take: effort matters, but effort is not the finish line. Kids need to know what it feels like to master something. They master video games. They memorize dances. They learn every lyric. They figure out tech faster than we do. So yes, they can also learn to tie their shoes, clean up after themselves, read with stamina, solve hard problems, and keep practicing until it clicks.
