What a great discovery we just made! A tranquil, peaceful beach surrounded by a lush forest, just over an hour from Ottawa. 😍 If you’re tired of competing for a good spot at crowded beaches every weekend, this is a great place to check out. Murphy’s Point Provincial Park is on the way to Perth, about 70 minutes from Ottawa. Admission is $18 per vehicle any day of the week. Canoe rentals are available for $28 for two hours. There are no lifeguards on duty, so swim at your own risk. There’s also a small store where you can grab snacks and ice cream. On your way back to Ottawa, consider stopping in Perth for a visit.
