A Cincinnati-based folk duo say their performances at President Donald Trump's Great American State Fair was an act of "patriotic dissent" to oppose the current administration. Songwriters Karen Bridges and Clint Thomson, who make up Stone & Snow, performed at the event through the National Endowment for the Arts Legacy Stage. They performed across three days from June 30 to July 2. In an email to the Enquirer, the duo said they were surprised to get the offer to perform at the event because of their protest songs and public opposition to the Trump administration. In April, Stone & Snow performed at an event at the Woodward Theater titled "This Scene Kills Fascism: A Night of Protest Music, Art & Community," where they played a song they wrote criticizing Trump.
