On this final day of #PRIDEMONTH, I’m here to remind you that pride doesn’t end at the end of June. Pride simply serves as a reminder to those who can’t yet live openly as they are, that there is already a full community of people/allies waiting to welcome them and love them. Pride is more than rainbow filled celebrations (although that part is pretty fucking great). 🏳️‍🌈 Pride is to honor Stonewall, build visibility, promote self- affirmation, and honor the sacrifices made by those in the LGBTQ+ community before us. Being an ally for this community isn’t something we take lightly around here. Besides “mom,” #ALLY might be my greatest accomplishment/title in this life (hell- it’s even tattooed on my body). Getting to showcase and support love in all forms is the foundation of Konsider It Done. Getting to be a part of these extraordinary celebrations is something I promise to never take for granted.
