Revisiting the archive to study traces of my past improvisations.

The work is part of an ongoing series in which I use creative coding to give form to the trace of my voice performance. By placing the generated “body” of the voice beside my physical movements, the work observes what is usually defined by ephemerality, such as a voice, a breath, a movement, or a momentary impulse, and reveals its hidden architecture in relation to the body. This research began with my beatbox video series in 2018, where I became interested in the body as more than a performer of sound. During an improvisation, the body does not simply react to an external sonic event. It moves from within, responding to internal impulses before the sound is fully formed. This hidden link between voice, movement, and pre-sonic intention is subtle, but as a voice performer, I feel it with great clarity.
