Saharan dust sunset FTW! 🌅🤩 There’s a sunset, and then there’s a Saharan dust sunset. This dust traveled over 5,000 miles from Africa just to make our skies more vibrant than ever. The science: sunlight has to travel through way more atmosphere at sunrise and sunset. Dust particles scatter out the blues and greens, so all that’s left is the orange and red doing the most - it’s basically a natural filter! Saharan dust will be hanging around through the weekend.
