When you’re shooting at sunset or sunrise, and you get great clouds that light up, it can be worth using your ultra-wide to capture the whole scene. But later in the day, when it’s overcast, turn to your telephoto lens. The clouds act as a huge softbox, making the light very even across your scene, which is perfect for capturing the finer details in the landscape.
