Today, we are crowning record-breaking rower Kelsey Pfendler as our #QueenoftheWeek 👑 Pfendler became a professional river-rafting guide when she turned 18. She’s spent the last ten years working as a guide in the Grand Canyon, leading multi-day trips along the Colorado River. Pfendler also competed as part of the USA Women’s Open Raft Race Team and represented the U.S. in the 2022 World Rafting Championships. This May, she set out to make history. With the goal of becoming the first American woman, the youngest woman, and the fastest woman to row solo from California to Hawaii, Pfendler and her ocean rowing boat, Lily, began their journey in Monterey, California, on May 21. This weekend, at 32 years old, Pfendler turned that goal into reality. After 43 days solo, she arrived in Honolulu, completing the over 2,400-mile trek.
