Hi, I’m Mackenzie and I work as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker in Toowoomba. 👋🏽   I’m a proud Kullilli/Boonthamurra woman with land and waterway ties to the Bulloo River. 🖤💛❤️   My mob comes from Thargomindah country, where my ancestors have walked for hundreds of years. Country is more than land; it is identity, responsibility, memory, and the teachings of our people. It is what grounds me. 👣   Having lived in Toowoomba my whole life, I’ve built strong connections within the community through school, sport and everyday life. I’ve formed lasting relationships and a deep appreciation for the people and places that make this region unique.   My role in the Social and Emotional Wellbeing team is about supporting our mob to feel culturally safe, heard and understood as they navigate what can often be a daunting health and wellbeing journey. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming space where people can connect, share their stories, and access support in a way...
