This weeks’ WHY MB comes from the BRILLIANT Ava Lourenco, ‘26‼️ “Hi! My name is Ava Lourenco, and I am a senior. I’ve been at MB since freshman year. I was initially drawn to MB because of all the opportunities the school had to offer, including academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. I’ve played varsity softball and hockey all four years and I’ve had the honor to be a softball co-captain and hockey assistant captain. My favorite memory has to be being a part of the 2023 state championship girls hockey team as a freshman. It was a hard-fought, team effort from start to double overtime. What I appreciate most about playing on my MB teams is the friendships I’ve made. MB’s sports teams helped me connect with so many friends who I may not have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. I’m truly grateful for the friendships I’ve made both on and off the field and rink. MB is special because of the community and support system that every student and staff member contributes to....
