Ottawa man wanted after vi*lently robbing his taxi driver by Algonquin College‼️😨🚖 Ottawa Police are asking for the public’s help after a taxi driver was allegedly assaulted and robbed during a pickup in the city’s west end. Police say the driver was dispatched to the 1100 block of Meadowlands Drive around 3 p.m. on June 19. It has been 3 days since the suspects photo has been posted and no arrests. When the driver arrived, an unknown male allegedly assaulted them, entered the taxi, stole cash, and fled the area. The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s to 30s, approximately 190–200 lbs, with dark hair in a short ponytail, a short dark beard, a white T-shirt, dark pants, white Adidas running shoes, a black backpack, and a blue reusable shopping bag.
