FIFA has now issued a statement stating that the ball NEVER hit the camera wire‼️🤯🎥⚽️ (Follow Shottawa.TV for more VIRAL content) FIFA says there is “no evidence” the ball struck the overhead camera wire before England’s controversial equalizer against Norway, despite replays that sparked widespread debate online. According to FIFA, the Connected Ball’s internal sensor showed no contact while the ball was in the air, meaning there was no reason to stop play or overturn the goal. Under the Laws of the Game, if the ball had touched the wire, play should have been stopped and restarted with a drop ball. The incident left Norway furious, with Erling Haaland, goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland and manager Ståle Solbakken confronting the officials before halftime. Many fans continue to question the decision, but FIFA says the technology found no evidence that the ball’s flight was altered by an overhead cable. Thoughts? Did FIFA get this one right, or should the play have been reviewed more...
