Every day, the ‘Ottawa man’ headlines get one step closer to becoming ‘Florida Man’ headlines‼️😭🧨💔 An Ottawa resident brought an undetonated Second World War grenade to the Ottawa OPP detachment on Friday, believing they were disposing of it safely. Police say the grenade remained outside the detachment before it was secured using approved safety procedures while explosives experts from CFB Petawawa were called in to collect and dispose of it. The OPP is reminding the public not to transport grenades, ammunition, or any suspected explosive devices to a police station. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. If you come across one, leave it where it is and call police immediately so trained Explosives Disposal Unit members can safely handle the situation.
