Florida State missed out on Class of 2027 four-star interior offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough, as he committed to California on Saturday afternoon.
This was a disappointing result for a program that needed to get offensive linemen in their 2027 recruiting class, especially considering that California hasn’t been the model of success either. Unfortunately, the Seminoles have had their fair share of failures on the high school recruiting front.
Many offensive linemen that they were interested in have pledged elsewhere, so the task will be that much more complicated with having to flip them from other schools where they will likely have to pay them more NIL resources.
They need to expand the target board and give them more options. One offensive linemen that I would like to see them flip is four-star Jatori Williams from Phenix City, Alabama. The Seminoles were thought to be once in the lead for his recruitment, but the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes were able to secure his pledge.
