The principal suite follows the same architectural language as the rest of the house, but in a warmer, more private way.
This was a substantial rebuild and extension of a Belsize Park family house, with the new spaces shaped around arches, softer thresholds and a better connection to the garden.
In the bedroom, the arched doors and curved window pick up that same thread without making the room feel too designed. The palette is calm and warm, with simple black fittings and layered textures giving the space a little more depth.
The en suite continues this approach, with plaster tones, stone, fluted joinery and pared back fittings. It is compact, but still feels generous because the materials and details are doing the work.
Together, they form a principal suite that feels connected to the wider house, but still properly separate from the busier family spaces below.
