While examining parallel trends from the 1920s and 2020s, we identified the rise of human craft as a luxury in the face of growing technological efficiencies.  Our Scullery inside THE MART SHOWHOUSE, a room that celebrates the laborious act of making, shines a light on the people and processes that infuse humanity into everyday artifacts. From mosaic countertops to hand-cut rugs, the space takes a rawer, more subversive approach to Art Deco that butchers the artificiality of our modern world.
