Severe rainfall in Russia’s southern Republic of Dagestan has caused flooding, mudslides and rockfalls, cutting off dozens of settlements from transport links. Authorities said around 36,000 people were left without electricity, while a dam was breached after water levels in the Ulluchay River rose sharply.
