Hot girls have sensitive eyes...and I’m one of them!! If you’re familiar with my work, you know it’s all about the eyes. I love winged liner, live for a smoky eye, and am always going to say yes to major lashes. But for the last few years, I’ve been dealing with chronic dry eye on top of a diagnosis of ocular rosacea and blepharitis. Getting this news made me change everything about my own eye-care routine and how I prep my celebrity clients.
Here are a few things I always do:
1. Use a dedicated eye cleanser or wipe (I just might be working on something…) to remove eye makeup —stop using your facial cleanser on your eyes!
2. Look for ophthalmologist-tested products, and try to avoid carbon black and talc when you can.
3. Learn to love eye drops! I use them on my clients and keep them in all my bags.
4. Try a hypochlorous acid spray, I use this after removing my eye makeup to help gently remove bacteria from my eyelashes and lids.
