On panels, I get asked all the time what genre I want to write in. Hands down the answer is always sci-fi. I never thought I could fit in that genre. Besides the obvious reasons (aka being a black female writer in a genre comprised of mostly male, mostly white legacy authors) I’ve never been into hard sci-fiction. I like the light, sparkly vampire version that feels familiar and kinda could sorta happen if the opportunity presents itself in the near distant future. Twisted Intelligence is that book in an age where the possibilities of AI are both equally scary and exciting. We have no idea what’s about to happen and this book is my fun way of playing with it. It’s diverse. It’s spicy and features older characters. Basically it’s me in a book and makes my little nerd girl heart happy. The one that watched Sailor Moon every day after school and said “what if.” Well, I answered that question with this book. This is my possibility, my what if, and I hope you’ll check it out 💕 🤖🩶Blurb🩶...
