🚩RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT ‼️ Residents and visitors in and around Modoc and Lassen counties are urged to stay alert and take extra fire‑safety precautions as elevated winds and critically dry fuels create dangerous conditions. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 11 a.m. Friday through 9 p.m. Sunday for portions of both counties. Gusty winds, low humidity, and extremely dry vegetation can cause any new fire to spread quickly.
