🌲 Caring for the land is caring for the future. Since 2023, $29 million has been awarded to 22 projects throughout California to help Native American Tribes care for ancestral lands, apply Traditional Ecological Knowledge to wildfire management, and use prescribed fire, cultural burning, and other traditional vegetation management practices to strengthen wildfire resilience and community safety. Applications are now being accepted until September 8, 2026 for future projects that will build on these efforts and support tribal-led approaches to land stewardship and wildfire preparedness. #CALFIRE #TribalWildfire #RxFire #TEK #GoodFire
