This video was taken in 2015 the year we started singing together. Before there were big festivals, tour buses or award shows There was Baltimore, Maryland. 🖤 It was the very first city where we performed together as The War and Treaty. Back then hardly anyone knew or cared who we were. While the world wasn’t paying attention Michael was writing songs that would become the foundation of our story. We would spend six-hour days rehearsing vocals, living with a family we didn’t know who graciously took us in for three years and chased every opportunity we could find. We’d pack up our old Ford Turtle Top van ( our kids named Rocket), buckle our then 4 year old into the back and drove anywhere there was a stage and someone willing to listen. We didn’t have a blueprint. Just our love, 2 vocals, a keyboard and original songs. We had no money, just our faith, our family and a dream that refused to let us go.
