#OnThisDay six years ago, I posted a video about my parents on their wedding anniversary. It was during the pandemic, and I was really missing them. I was on my break at work and just needed someone to talk to, so I opened my phone, hit record, and shared what was on my heart. I put my phone away, went back to work, and when I got home, I opened it to thousands of comments and likes. It became my first truly “viral” video. I think it resonated because people either related to the story or wished they could. That one video led me to connect with so many incredible people—many of whom I’m still friends with today.
