This Honors Thesis by Mariah Hamburg is a showcase of different musical theater choreography to help demonstrate the difference between following creative choreographic rules versus creating routines for reasons other than storytelling. The dancers are all Case Western Reserve University students. Original Carousel choreography by Justin Peck from the 2018 revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel. Original Spring Awakening choreography by Bill T. Jones from the 2007 production of Spring Awakening by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater.
