Over the past two weeks, our JoffreyRED Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive brought together dedicated dancers for an inspiring experience rooted in both classical excellence and contemporary innovation. Under the direction of Artistic Director Josie Walsh ballet_red, students strengthened their technical foundation while exploring the creativity, versatility, and artistry that define today’s contemporary ballet landscape. From daily ballet technique and pointe classes to contemporary ballet, modern, improvisation, partnering, composition, and more, each day challenged dancers to expand their movement vocabulary and deepen their artistic expression.
