During practice, locals often stop and ask what I’m training for. Pulling a 4400 pound vehicle in the June heat isn’t something people typically do in the sweltering heat of Illinois. But it is exactly the practice I needed to be the best at my first strongman competition. Officially beating at least two professional strongman competitors by three-quarters of a second, coming in with an official time of 40 feet in 10.36 seconds and outright winning an event at my first strongman competition. This event type is now my signature event.
