The event was a celebration of our 120th Anniversary and shared history with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses. In 1902, Sycamores was established as Pasadena’s first orphanage by Fannie Rowland, the wife of Dr. Francis F. Rowland, a founder of the Tournament of Roses and the first Grand Marshal of the Rose Parade® in 1890.
