For more than 150 years, laboratory professionals around the state have worked to make sure that medical conditions are identified and quickly reported; our food and water is safe to eat and drink; our lakes, rivers, soil, and air are safe for us to work and play; and community health threats are quickly identified and stopped. Laboratory professionals work 24/7, testing and monitoring for potential health threats to our communities and loved ones, including detecting and preventing diseases and infectious outbreaks, environmental exposures, and serious conditions that cannot be detected without lab testing—providing health care providers and stakeholders the information needed to care for individuals and entire communities. This week, please join us in honoring Minnesota laboratory staff during Laboratory Professionals Week.
