Before COVID-19, another worldwide disease was killing nearly 1.5 million people a year, for decades: tuberculosis (TB). TB is preventable and curable — yet it is the world's second-deadliest infectious disease. As COVID-19 made clear, it's good for all of us when we control infectious diseases anywhere in the world.
