People who had COVID-19 and are not yet vaccinated should follow the same guidelines as unvaccinated people, like wearing a mask and social distancing, and plan to get a COVID-19 vaccine. If you tested positive for COVID-19, you may have some protection against getting the virus for up to three months after recovering. While this is good news, it’s not the same as being vaccinated.
