Earlier this week, we announced a pause on the COVID-19 Johnson & Johnson vaccine while CDC and FDA review information about an extremely rare type of blood clot reported in six of the nearly 7 million people who received it. The pause is temporary and is a sign that the systems are working. If you got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in the last few weeks and develop severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain, or shortness of breath, contact your health care provider. If you got the vaccine more than a month ago, you are unlikely to develop symptoms at this point.
