National Organization for Rare Disorders, Inc. (NORD) has identified Minnesota as one of four states to receive a grade A for newborn screening. Thank you to all the parents, families, providers, lab and clinic staff, and advisory committee members whose work makes Minnesota newborn screening so successful! States were graded on the number of RUSP (Recommended Uniform Screening Panel) conditions included on their screening panel, how RUSP conditions are added, program funding, use of dried blood spots, follow-up program, program and laboratory quality, and an advisory committee comprised of a diverse group of experts.
