Genelle (she/her) is a student worker in our Center for Health Equity. She supports our new Community Solutions for Healthy Child Development grant program and advisory council, which aim to promote wellbeing for children of color and American Indian children and their families. An important value of this work is honoring community resilience. The word “resilience” means the ability to overcome challenges and remain strong even in times of injustice.
