Last year, our Tracking program joined forces with our Biomonitoring program to address health concerns in north-central Minnesota. When Tracking analysis showed higher-than-expected numbers of emergency room visits from pesticide exposure, especially in young kids, Biomonitoring took action. The team used the findings and their established community relationships to shape a study of exposure to pesticides and other chemicals of concern in young children from the region.
