In 2017, 422 Minnesotans died from an opioid overdose, up 640% since 1999. The #OneMinnesota budget addresses this head on with evidence-based approaches funded by new fees on opioid manufacturers, wholesalers and entities that handle controlled substances. Wright County Public Health Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) is co-sponsoring a community conversation on March 19 about the opioid epidemic.
