Today #FlatStanley visited the Environmental section of our Public Health Lab. Good thing he put on his safety glasses and lab coat before entering the laboratory! #SafetyFirst Flat Stanley is helping analyze drinking water samples for VOCs. VOCs, or Volatile Organic Compounds, are man-made chemical compounds that can be harmful to ingest at high levels. Our Organics Unit tests drinking water for 69 different VOCs in each of these vials to help make sure Minnesota's water is safe to drink!
