Residents from the Minnesota Veterans Homes - Fergus Falls joined in a meaningful afternoon at the annual Veterans Home Rest & Relaxation Summer Kickoff on June 6. The Veterans Home Choir helped set the tone for the event with several patriotic songs, bringing Residents and guests together in celebration. Following the performance, attendees were invited to view a display featuring local Veterans and their dog tags. A powerful moment came when Veteran Resident Rick recognized himself in one of the display photos—taken during his service in Vietnam. Rick was also there in person, singing with the choir that day, making the connection especially meaningful. Rick is a recipient of two Purple Hearts and it was an honor to recognize his service and sacrifice.
