Honoring all who served. Remembering those who gave all. 🇺🇸 This past Memorial Day, Veteran Residents, families, staff, volunteers and community partners gathered at all eight Minnesota Veterans Homes in Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Hastings, Luverne, Minneapolis, Montevideo, Preston and Silver Bay to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's heroes. Through guest speakers, memorial readings, POW/MIA table ceremonies, decorated vehicle parades, changing of the guard presentations, 21-gun salutes and the playing of Taps, each Home observed the day in a meaningful and personal way. Together, they reflected on the true meaning of Memorial Day and paid tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Many of the programs also included special remembrances for Veteran Residents who passed away during the past year, ensuring their service, friendship and legacy continue to be honored within our Homes.
