There’s been a lot happening this week at the Minnesota Veterans Homes - Luverne! Residents enjoyed entertainment from the music group Coda, bringing plenty of energy and fun to the Home. Resident Ken B. even requested a slow dance with recreation staff — a moment that brought lots of smiles to the afternoon. Residents were also treated to a visit from Dad’s Belgian Waffles, featuring plate-sized waffles and six different syrup flavors to choose from. The meal was a big hit and left everyone full and happy! The fun continued with a spirited game of bingo where everyone received a 250th commemorative coin and quarters as part of Spirit of America Week. To wrap up the week, Residents welcomed a special visit from “Teddy Roosevelt,” portrayed by Adam Lindquist. With his own military background, “Teddy” connected well with the Veteran Residents while sharing stories about America’s youngest president and answering thoughtful questions from Residents throughout the visit. 😊 #Minnesot...
